Being an independant non-profit organization, we rely on volunteers and private and business tax-deductible donations. With these donations, volunteers, and the homeowner support, we are able to build simple decent, and affordable housing in an effort to break the cycle of poverty.

Why Donate?

Many families live with a constant stress and fear of rent increases, overcrowded or substandard living conditions, or lack of access to affordable financing. That’s why Habitat Canada partners with low-income families to help them build strength, stability and independence through affordable housing.

Being an independant non-profit organization, we rely on volunteers and private and business tax-deductible donations. With these donations, volunteers, and homeowner volunteer hours, we are able to build simple decent, and affordable housing in an effort to break the cycle of poverty.

Habitat homownership provides families with more than just equity, it instills in them a renewed sense of pride and responsibilty. Research has shown that Habitat homeowners are happier, healther, and more financially stable. Meanwhile, their children are more confident and do better in school. Not only is the impact of a Habitat home felt by the family, but also in the community where there is reduced reliance on social housing and food banks.

Help us achieve our vision of a world where everyone has a safe and decent place to live.
