The 15-unit condominium in North Grenville is finished!
On July 16th, 2024, we held a Key Ceremony with our partners at Habitat for Humanity Greater Ottawa, and proudly handed over the keys to the front doors of over a dozen new homes.
Every single one of the hard-working families were smiling from ear-to-ear, and very eager to show their appreciation to everyone who helped open a new and exciting chapter in their lives.
Thank you to ALL our sponsors, donors, and hard-working volunteers, without whom Kemptville Korners would not be possible.

And to Kemptville Campus who also very kindly at the last minute provided the indoor space for the Key Ceremony when the forecast was telling us there was nothing but rain on the horizon. Thanks to the Ottawa GO volunteers for standing on the corners and giving us directions, too!
As well, thank you Mayor Nancy Peckford, North Grenville, Habitat for Humanity Canada CEO Pedro Barata, MPP Steve Clark, as well as Councilors from the Municipality of North Grenville and Municipalité de Russell Township, and last, but certainly not least, Habitat For Humanity Chair Bill Spencer, our Board members, and the Thousand Islands staff and volunteers for participating in such a fantastic ceremony.
Our Kemptville Korners project provided 15 fantastic families a new home, and each member of those families were gifted lovely, hand-made quilts provided by the Thousand Islands Quilters Guild, who worked with the Kemptville Quilters Guild, Farmhouse Community Quilters (part of the Heritage Quilters of Napanee), as well as Brockville’s Busy Hands group.
TIQG’s members have generously worked with us on previous projects to ensure that every partnered family has something warm and comfortable to snuggle up with in their brand-new homes.
The children, especially, love the fun designs and bright colours! Some even take them everywhere they go… what a fantastic security blanket!

Three of the amazing quilts along with their proud new owners! We hope to showcase even more in the months ahead!
