It’s been a battle!
Our amazing volunteers and Site Supervisor have been hard at it, through bone-chilling cold and near record amounts of snow.
Take a look at the progress they’ve made!
On December 1st, 2025, the crew was installing the main floor beams. We thought it was cold, then… boy, were we in for a surprise.
On December 10, 2025, the main level of the Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF) had been poured in the first semi-detached, with the second semi ready to go.
Just before Christmas, on December 22, 2025, the forms for the second levels were in place and ready for pouring. Starting to look like some actual houses, now!
By January 14, 2026, the second level had cured, and the interior framing was installed, ready to receive the trusses.
On January 29, 2026, along with a bunch more snow and freezing temperatures, the trusses were finished off.
And on February 1, 2026, the sheathing was in place, ready for the shingles to go up.
We really can’t thank our volunteers enough for their perseverance, drive, dedication, and heart. It’s been a struggle to get to this point, but the proof is in the pudding, so they say. These homes will be a part of the Prescott community for the next hundred years, and due in no small part to their efforts.
